Hackney Wick can also be reached via walking across a pedestrian bridge from Victoria Park.
The lift is an older lift and requires the manual opening of a concertina door.
The artists of MotherX (in Pearl & Coutts studios), have had a home in Hackney Wick's former chocolate factory for over fifteen years.
For the final weekend of the London Open Houses Festival, artists Cian O'Neil, Nina Mankin and Mackenzie Scott Clowes will open their studios (alongside other artists - tbc), showing their work in a relaxed, studio setting.
MotherX is a diverse and international group of artists, makers, designers and creatives whose work includes:
- Painting and Drawing
- Sculpture
- Design
- Conceptual Art
- Jewellery...
The artists will be available to chat, and work will be available for sale.
Please come and meet Cian and Mackenzie and other artists in one of London's most dynamic, iconic and ever-changing creative hubs.
Your support will ensure continued visibility and survival in a landscape under huge pressure from gentrification.
It will be a great chance to experience art in an intimate setting within an amazing listed building, and to explore the real Hackney Wick itself - a buzzing microcosm of not just artists but performers, musicians, creatives and now some of the best bars and food London has to offer. Come see our world!
