Where is this place? The sense of belonging drifts depending on where you are and what you do, the place is undervalued, undermined and is known to as the property playground. Croydon is a very different and unique town-hub-place, unlike any other London boroughs.

For a moment you are walking through tranquil woodlands and vineyards, the next you’d be able to enjoy the bustling of an urban town, and further extending into the convenience of industrial hubs one can have access to, three strands of living rolled into one.

Croydon exists by the strength of its habitants, through adversity people have become stronger and have a place to call home. A view above ground celebrates the people interactions with space and time. A celebration of the moment documented and broadcast live forges a sense of unity and wanton to become the Croydon it ought to be. To protect the green spaces, activities, environment and its people, before Croydon concedes its fate into further developmental changes, the good, the bad and the ugly. Perhaps this is the moment to provide insight to the Croydoninans and non-Croydonians, to form an appreciation and the latter to think before casting their fortunes on Croydon as a variable bet. Croydon deserves better both for modernity and posterity.

The programme includes a collaboration between property/place marketeers, videographers and drone pilots, from creative, surveying and enthusiast backgrounds, including activity organisations that have an interest and use selected spaces Croydon to meet and conduct their activities. The team will work together to provide a storyboard and a marketing plan to ensure interested parties are informed and the broadcasts and documented videos are successful. Those participating are on a voluntary basis and have to agree on terms of the credits and rights of the footage. Open-City should not restrict the footage from being used by other potential partners, i.e. Croydon Council, Greater London Authority.
