About

About the Workshop

Blackhorse Workshop is a public workshop providing access to tools and affordable workspace in Walthamstow.

The workshop offers wood and metal working equipment, on-site technician support, shared workspace for both professional and occasional users, and a regular programme of classes and activities aimed at developing and disseminating the practice and culture of making.

Blackhorse Workshop has been developed by Assemble – from concept, design and business planning to the setting up of an independent CIC and governing board. Graphic design is with Europa.

The project was supported by the Mayor of London’s Outer London Fund, funded by the London Borough of Waltham Forest and match funded by Create London.
