Overview

Barking Town Centre is changing fast with significant new development and a record number of cranes across the skyline. Barking has a fascination history from having the country’s largest fishing fleet through to being William the Conqueror’s base whilst the Tower of London was built. The tour will highlight Barking’s history, the wide range of new development underway and the vision for Barking’s future. The tour (all external) and led by Be First, The Council's Regeneration company will last around 2.5 hours and visit around 30 locations include the following:
