A cultural blast!

Indian elements including courtyards and lots of natural light incorporated in the local environment were centric to my design for this house. An indoor water feature, a swing, triple height atrium, plants and a seamless connection with the outdoor spaces were incorporated within a typical end-terrace house.

Beauty in imperfection

We followed the Wabi-sabi principle and kept raw elements exposed, including concrete floor, walls and ceiling and a metal staircase. Natural light with plants brings a beautiful connection of these materials to nature and enhances their lifecycles, together with ours.

Reason for being

The house’s minimalism and pureness flows into our lifestyles and that’s our Ikigai! Natural light and imperfect finishes bring soul soothing tranquility within highly functional spaces.
