We will start outside the main door of Riverside Studios – where there are plentiful tables and chairs – and walk west along the north bank of the River Thames for about 0.7 miles, pausing at Hammersmith Bridge and Furnivall Gardens and dropping into the William Morris museum at Kelmscott House (free, no booking) before finishing outside the Emery Walker House on Hammersmith Terrace.

For rest and refreshments, there is a handy cafe near the walk end point: The Elder Press, 3 South Black Lion Lane, W6 9TJ
