About

Meet our firefighters

Come along and meet the firefighters at our open day.

We’ll be there to offer safety advice, talk about our work and show you around.

There will a fire engine on display for everyone to have a good look at, and may be even get in.

We want our fire station to be at the heart of our community, so come along, bring the whole family and let's enjoy the summer together.

About the building

According to the Modernism in Metroland blog, this fire station in East Greenwich was opened in 1985 and designed by Jack Lambert and Peter Smith of the Greater London Council. It is constructed in steel and brick infill, with curved bays and a bright red finish.
